I’m a horse girl myself. I’ve spent too many hours crammed inside a dually on a cross country road trip with the hopes of earning a few points. I’ve stayed up too late hanging stall curtains only to get up early the next morning to get my horse in the ring before they drag the arena. I’ve experienced all the highs and the lows that come with our sport but the best part of showing horses, is the horses.
We’ve all been bitten by the horse bug, that’s how we all ended up here. For me it started out innocently, my parents decided to get a couple trail horses & a pony for my sister and I. Then it turned into lessons at our farm, then a small local show, then it quickly escalated into buying show horses. I spent the better part of my childhood and young adult life at horse shows, and there’s no place I would have rather been.
My love for photography stems from a life long passion of showing horses. Getting a blue ribbon isn’t just about winning, it’s recognition for all the hours you’ve spent perfecting that pivot or lead change with your horse. Points and trophies are just evidence of the bond you have with your equine partner. I love capturing that bond. I love getting to photograph you and the horses you’ve built your life around. So let’s hang out and capture some memories so you can look back and remember your horses forever.
My Goal is Simple:
I want you to have pretty photos with your horse. I want your experience with an equine photographer to be a good one, so I take all the extra steps needed when working around horses to make sure you are both happy and comfortable during our session.
